First we transferred all of our footage on to the mac and watched through everything we had, after doing this we were then able to eliminate any footage that we didn’t want to use and select the clips that worked with what we were trying to accomplish in our final product.
After selecting all the clips we wanted and saving any we weren’t sure about elsewhere, we put the clips in to the desired order on the Adobe Premiere Pro timeline. We then played around with fonts and their colours for our credits and title and once decided on a font, we tried out different positioning and sizes.
We then had a look at different transitions and decided which ones we wanted to use between which clips and how long we needed them to be for the film to give the audience the desired effect.
Finally, for sound Mariya and I watched the edited sequence and decided if we wanted to keep or remove any of the individual clips' original diegetic sound. We then decided that we would put background music beside the footage we had edited together and worked out if and where we needed to fade the music out to hear the original sound of the clip. We decided that we would have the music in the background throughout the entire opening scene to create an uneasy feeling, having it louder at the beginning during the opening credits, quieter when there was dialogue (but still audible) and then we slowly made it louder again towards the end to build suspense until the final climax moment of the title screen.
